Surprise Proposal - With Jaemie Hillbish Photography.

It is not everyday you get asked to photograph a surprise proposal, even less when it is for your sister. When my soon-to-be brother-in-law Nick asked me about photographing his proposal I knew we had to be sneaky!! We came up with the plan that I would come by to photography a few barns to use as promos for my rustic Christmas mini sessions, perfect right? Well the weather had different plans! It rained and rained every day for over a week. The day came and I headed out to Blackstone, VA with my headlights & windshield wipers on and two clear umbrellas in tow. By the time I reached the farm the sun was just peaking through the clouds.

It was go time!! Looking back we should have came up with a code word because three barns & multiple fields later (with talks of a creek) I was beginning to wonder if it was every going to happen. Then we reached THE soybean field and Nick went down on one knee!!
